Tidbit Thursday

With two little boys, aged one and three, it's hard to find time to blog. But I am working on developing a reading list and hoping to find a follower or two myself! In the meantime, I'm doing my best to keep this blog updated at least once a week. I love to write and read others' stuff, and wish I had more time to contribute to doing so!

In my quiet time (another part of my day I wish I had more time to devote to!) today, I read in Romans. It's so easy to think of ourselves as more important or better than unbelievers, isn't it? But as Paul plainly puts it, there is no room for boasting. And we are all alike, believers and unbelievers, in that we are all steeped in sin and in need of cleansing through salvation in Christ. The difference being, of course, whether or not we are willing to accept Christ and salvation through faith.
"This righteousness from God comes from faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus... Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith." Romans 3:22-24, 27.

I also am challenged to find time to blog! I work part time, but seem to spend the rest of the day running errands. :-)

It takes time to start getting comments and followers. Don't give up! When I began blogging, a fellow blogger suggested that I learn to post pics on my blog. Also, she suggested that I leave comments on other blogs and choose some to follow. You've already been doing that. So, just hang in there! ;-)

I enjoyed reading this post, Lou. The scripture went with it perfectly!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, commenting AND becoming a follower...looking forward to getting to know you. :-)

Blessings,
Beth

P.S. With your permission, I'll post a link to your blog. Perhaps that will send some traffic your way. ;-) Just let me know.

Thanks for visiting my blog today! Nice to "meet" you.

On our family lessons....we do that on Wednesday night. Our son is in Kindergarten, and he has an earlier bedtime now so we don't try to go to church on Wed. nights. We have the family lessons on Wed. nights. It has worked out great for us. It is a time to learn about finding verses in the Bible plus he can practice his reading.

Have a great day!
